Chat is a conversation with xysq inside the dashboard. It remembers what you tell it across conversations, can pull in files and folders you’ve uploaded to Organise, and switches its underlying model based on what you ask. You don’t need Chat to use xysq — your own AI tool (Claude, Cursor, anything that speaks MCP) talks to the same memory. Chat is there for when you want to use xysq directly.Documentation Index

Opening Chat
Click Chat in the sidebar at app.xysq.ai. Your past conversations are listed on the left. Pick one to continue, or start a new one — your first message becomes the title. You can rename or delete any conversation from the list. What Chat can do
Remember what you tell it. Anything you share in Chat lands in your personal vault. Bring it up again next week, in a different conversation, and Chat will know.@ to mention any file or folder from Organise. The contents come into the conversation for that turn.
/Chats/<conversation title>/ folder in Organise automatically and attached to the conversation.
Search the web. When you ask about something recent — today’s news, current prices, what just happened — Chat searches the web and cites the sources inline. You don’t need to ask for it.
Choosing a model
The model picker at the top of the chat lets you steer how Chat thinks:| Mode | When to use |
|---|---|
| Auto | The default. Chat picks the right mode for each turn. |
| Fast | Quick replies, simple questions. |
| Smart | Harder reasoning, longer answers. |
| Vision | When you’ve attached an image. |
| Reasoning | Step-by-step problems — code, math, planning. |
