# Home

> Your xysq home page. A glance at what you have captured, a recap of what happened, and a shortcut into everything else.

The Home page is the first thing you see at [app.xysq.ai](https://app.xysq.ai). It is built to answer two questions at a glance: what did I just capture, and what happened over the last day or week. Everything else on the page is a shortcut into the rest of xysq.

The page has two parts: a wide band on the left that flips between **Recents** and **Recap**, and a right rail with your setup checklist and a rotating set of skill suggestions. A chat composer floats at the bottom so you can ask your memory anything without leaving the page.

## Recents

Recents is the default view. It shows your latest memories as a timeline, split into two tabs:

* **Personal** - your most recent personal memories, newest first.
* **Teams** - the latest memories across every team you have recall on, blended into one timeline.

Each card leads with where the memory came from, then a one-line summary, grouped by the day it happened. It is a read-only glance: to edit, delete, or dig in, click through to your [Vault](/features/vault).

<Note>
  You will always have something here. Onboarding seeds your first memory, so Recents is never empty from the start.
</Note>

## Recap

Flip the toggle to **Recap** and the band turns into a narrative of what happened, blended across your personal vault and your recall-enabled teams. Pick a window:

* **Yesterday** - a summary of the previous day.
* **Last week** - the prior full week.

A recap reads across your vaults, threads the events together, and writes a short narrative: what happened, why, who was involved, and a suggested next step. The first time you open a window it generates live (this takes a moment while it reads across busy vaults), then it is cached so opening it again is instant.

<Info>
  **How caching works.** A recap is pinned to a specific window. "Yesterday" opened today is a fixed, finished window, so once generated it is cached and reused. Open "Yesterday" again tomorrow and it is a different window, so it generates fresh once, then caches again. You never re-wait for a recap you have already seen.
</Info>

Recap is a heavier read than a glance at Recents, so it unlocks once your vault has enough to summarise. Below **5 memories** the Recap tab is shown but disabled, with a hint. Keep capturing and it turns on.

Recap uses the same engine as the [recap recall skill](/features/recall-skills). If you would rather ask for a recap in your own words, or scope it to a topic, do it in [Chat](/features/chat) or any connected agent with `/recap` or plain language.

## The right rail

**Quickstart.** A short checklist of setup steps (complete your profile, connect an agent, upload files, connect an app) with your progress on each. Finished steps drop off as you go; once they are all done it becomes a short "you're all set" card that you can dismiss.

**Suggested for you.** A rotating set of cards for the [recall skills](/features/recall-skills) - recap, decisions, actionables, blockers, prep. Click one and it opens a new chat with the command pre-filled (not sent), plus a hint about what to add. It is a one-click way to discover what each skill does.

## Ask your memory

The composer at the bottom of the page is a shortcut into [Chat](/features/chat). Type a question and send, and it opens a chat with that as the first turn. Type `/` to pick a [recall skill](/features/recall-skills) from the menu, or just ask in plain language.
